About TEC. The experience is based on the Paschal Mystery of Christ. There is time for reflection on serious questions of life. This encounter offers participants the opportunity of forming Christian Community. On TEC, the message of Christ reaches not only the intellect but also the heart. TEC is conducted by a team of approximately 25 people, including married and single men and women, high school and college students, priests, deacons, Sisters and Brothers.
Teens Encounter Christ
Teens Encounter Christ TEC is a three-day retreat for juniors and seniors in high school, as well as college freshmen. This intergenerational movement helps youth transition into young adulthood. The weekend helps youth relate this mystery to the concrete realities of their lives and challenges them to make a deeper commitment to Christ. The retreat schedule consists of fellowship and free time, talks given by team members, small group discussion, personal prayer, opportunities to receive the sacraments, and other group activities. TEC gives young people a safe place to ask questions, reflect on the person of Christ and who He is in their lives, and experience meaningful relationships with others. Through TEC, young people enter into a wider community that supports and sustains them, creating bonds that often last a lifetime. Discover Events Archbishop Ministry Give. As faith communities across the world face tough decisions about what future gatherings look like, Father Krengiel and I have been working with the TEC Lay Advisory Team to prayerfully and thoughtfully determine how we navigate through this time as a faith-filled TEC Community. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we have determined tough changes are necessary and are evaluating the possibilities for next retreat weekends. I paraphrase We have conversations!
During this season of hopeful waiting, we are all eager for TEC weekends to return as safely as possible, along with the other hallmarks of normalcy. While we wait, we are not alone. The disciples also found themselves waiting after the Last Supper—what was comi News Dorothy Gereke Gereke Grant.
